Life. What do we live for? Not just what “makes us tick,” but what is the passion that burns our hearts? That ever-present longing for great things. The dream that slumber beneath the surface waiting to be realized; yearning to be pursued, tried, and found. Embraced by the desire to change the world and fueled by the flames of compassion. What do we really live for?
There is a God who is greater than everything else in this world. He is triune, indescribable, and His love burns brighter than a thousand suns. He came down to this earth as Love to heal the broken. Rest to the weary. Relief to the burdened. Freedom to the enslaved. Refuge to the displaced. Life to the dead. Hope for the lost. Light in the darkness. Grace to the ailing. Mercy to the sinner. Truth to the searching. Faith to the despairing. Fulfillment to the longing. Sustenance to the desperate.
Love. In all its wonder and glory and splendor. Given to us at such a high price. A sacrifice unmatched, unlike anything this world has ever seen.
This Love is the love we know. The Love we see inside the pages of Scripture, in the surrender of our lives, and in the passion of our worship. Love that always trusts. Always hopes. Always perseveres.
This Love is the love that never fails.
